Robert William Page
CHILLICOTHE: Robert William Page, 78, of Chillicothe, has gone home to be with his Lord and his loving family who has gone before him at 2:05 Sunday, September 4, 2016 in the Adena Regional Medical Center following an extended illness.
He was born March 9, 1938, in Chillicothe, Ohio, to the late Harry and Flossie Snyder Page. On June 10, 1995, he married the former Bonnie (Odenkirk) Christian who survives. He was her best friend and the love of her life.
Also surviving are children, Tammy Hopper, of Chillicothe, John (Cindy) Page, of Bedford, TX, Donna (Vince) Madrid, of Chesapeake, VA and Beth (Jay) Geistkemper, of Beaufort, SC; a stepson, Brian Christian, of Chillicothe; grandchildren, Kristi (Eric) Byrnes, Courtney and Benjamin Page, Megan and Abby Balkus and Killian and Fin Geistkemper; great grandchildren, Paisley Pickerrell, Cole Byrnes and Amelia Byrnes; a sister, Susan Cottrill, of Chillicothe; brothers, Tom (Jerry) Page, Gale (Kay) Page and Dean (Janet) Page; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a son, Robbie Page; former wife, Lynn Page; granddaughter, Machele Hopper, son-in-law, Dave Hopper, sister, Rose Ritchhart; brothers, Charles \"Sonny\" Page, Jim Page and John Page; and his father-in-law, Harold Odenkirk.
Robert was a 1956 graduate of Unioto High School. He was a retired Chief Petty Officer from the United States Navy following 21 years of service to his country. Robert served 3 tours in Vietnam. Following his military service, he made his home in East Greenwich, RI where he received his Bachelors and Masters in Business Administration from Providence College. Robert worked at Rizzo Ford in North Providence, Rhode Island for 11 years. He coached little league baseball for the East Greenwich Major League Division in Rhode Island for 25 years. Robert was a member of the Antique Car Club of Southern Ohio and loved collecting antique cars especially the Chevy Corvair. He loved working in his flower beds. Robert was a member of Emanuel Lutheran Church in Lancaster.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Friday, September 9, 2016 in the WARE FUNERAL HOME with Rev. Mark Raddatz officiating. Burial will follow in Floral Hills Memory Gardens where military graveside rites will be conducted by the Ross County Veterans Honor Guard. Friends may call at the WARE FUNERAL HOME from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday.
