The sons of Henry Langell:John, Elias, Daniel were all members of theOhio Militia from Franklin and E. Union Twp. Leonard Langell, son of Casper, came to Wayne County in 1815 fromColumbiana County where he had moved originally in 1803, and purchased1/2 section of land in what is now Apple Creek. He built the first gristmill in the area, which was late r converted to a woolen mill. He erectedthe Lutheran Church in Apple Creek and returned to Columbiana County,Ohio and died there.[leyda.FTW]
