Henry Langell inherited part of the home farm, live stock and equipmentlocated in Section 31 and 32 of East Union Twp., however the records donot indicate that he ever lived on or operated the farm after he married.
On June 15, 1863, Henry sold the farm to his brother, Daniel,approximately 75 acres of the home farm, and in 1865 Henry and otherssold the entire farm of 156 acres to Johon Casper Langell, the eldestbrother.
Henry saw service in the Civil War. He enlisted August 24, 1864 andwas mustered out June 22, 1865, Company F.115, of the Ohio VolunterInfantry.
Upon his return from the War, he moved to Alliance, Ohio, andengaged in the Leather and Harness trade for approximately five years, hereturned to Wa yne Co., and engaged in Carpentry and Building trade untilretirement.
