Notes for Jane

Jane Coleman (not her maiden name) was born in Ireland and came to the United States in 1863. She became a naturalized citizen in 1870. I have a blue velvet box given to me by my mother, Virginia Morrison Coleman, that she said was the property of Frank Coleman's mother and that it came from Ireland. Jane, without a doubt, was the original owner of the box and it quite likely dates to before 1863.
In the 1920 census, Jane was enumerated with "McVicker Dan" at 546 East Church Street, Stockton, California.
I have a poem, from the Stockton Daily Evening Record dated June 10, 1914 that she apparently sent to her grandson, Frank Coleman. I also have a post card she wrote him, addressed to Fort Baker, Sausalito and dated November 8, 1916.
