Kate Coleman Gale was also known as Katherine. She lived at 547 Hayes Street, San Franciso, California at the time of her death. She is buried in Sonora, California.
Nothing is know of her husband William Gale other than he at one time ran a card room in San Francisco. I have a coin advertising that card room.
In 1900, Kate Coleman Gale was listed as the head of the household and ran a boarding house on Washington Street, block 5, Sonora, California. She was listed with her sons Leroy and Norman and three boarders. Her father was shown as born in Massachusetts and her mother in Ireland.
In 1910, Kate, Leroy and Norman were living in Stockton, California with Kate's sister, Margaret McCormick (47), head of household, and her children Robert (18), James (17), Frances (15) and Evarista (13). Also living with them was Kate and Margaret's mother, Jane Coleman.
