Phillipus Oosterhoudt Hein, AKA Phillip Hine, Sargt. UL. 3rd. Regt. Rochester. Aug . 1781 Tacken prisoner while on a spy (scouting mission) at Neversink. He along with Siles Boucker wer steaked out on Blue Hill, near the present Halls Mills, near the maine Indian path that leads to the Delaware river. According to legend, he was released by a yong Indian named( Tuney) by the Dutch. Because of his ordeal he died yong. Left a wife and two small children.
