Notes for Elizabeth Slifer

[master2.FTW]

[tree 102.FTW]

[Brøderbund WFT Vol. 4, Ed. 1, Tree #0102, Date of Import: Mar 11, 2000]

Second wife was Julianna Easterday (?)...This from Ralph Martz. The BIG
thing about this is that Martz thought that our line came forward from Easterday than from Slifer! This HAS to be resolved by somebody close to records, like what might be found in The Hall of Records in Annapolis or
in Frederick County. Any volunteers for the cause, and so that our young
ones don't have to wrestle with this later?

Also, her dates have been seen elsewhere as 1768-1857 (MD Gen. Society).

Dr. Lanham may look into the Easterday thing. That's his line.

Joseph A Bligh, 6/20/93

NSDAR writes (July 9, 1993) that "John Schleife, 1743-1822, is an
established ancester" in their official records! Also, "members that
have joined on this man descend through his children Elizabeth (married
David Arnold), John, Samuel and David."
Guess that's what we've been looking for.
- JAB 7/19/1993

Note - It is obvious that Schleife was Anglicized to Slifer when the
children came along. Before that, Schleiffer was shortened to Schleife,
and others.

Birth date in Mormon IGI file and DAR papers under Mary Arnold agree.
Mary was Elizabeth's daughter.
