Notes for Zachariah Arnold

Zachariah Arnold was names after his grandfather, Zachariah Albaugh, who had moved to Frederick Co., MD ca 1747 from Amwell N. J. where he was a member of Elder John Naas's Amwell Congregation. Naas was a close associate of Alexander Mack, founder of the Church of the Brethren.

Zach was Stonemason. The house a fine example of a pioneer log building together with the weavers house nearby of fine stone work, was sold and removed in 1985. The Arnold Cemetery is located on the hilltop a few hundred yards from where Zach and Abigail Arnold lived. [leyda.FTW]
