Notes for Samuel Arnold

The father and mother of Samuel came to Frederick Co., MD in the 1740s. Samuel was a Dunkard minister at Beaver Run. He lived on the John Leatherman place located on the south side of Route 50 across from the Zachariah Arnold farm. His brother Zachariah who built the ancient log house called the Chesire House. The weaver's house still stands nearby to the east. Both of these places were visited in July of 1997 by the writer and they are in excellent condition. Video pictures of both places in the writers possession.

Rev. Samuel's wife, Mary (Molly) Ludwick was his step sister.

Rev. Samuel was killed by a team of runaway colts hitched to a buggy on Mar 29, 1831.[leyda.FTW]

Moved to Hampshire Co., VA from Frederick Co., MD.

This Samuel was an elder.
