Bertha Jane THACKER, 82, of 5388 15th Road, Tippecanoe, died at 2 p.m. Friday at her residence.

Born in Plymouth to Alva and Hazel Kindig Thompson, she married Mark Thacker on Aug. 10, 1941 in Plymouth.

Survivors include husband Mark Thacker, Tippecanoe; three daughters, Mary Lou Grohowski, Elizabeth Hanson and Terri Jo Williams. Two sons, James and Marvin. 15 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. Three sisters, Eva Lawmaster, Erma Ellinger and Bernice Reese. She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Eldon and Charles Thompson.

Funeral services are 1 p.m. Sunday at the Inwood United Methodist Church, Inwood, IN with Pastor Gail Law officiating. Burial will be in Bethel Cemetery northeast of Argos. Visitation will be at Grossman Funeral Home in Argos from 4-8 p.m. Saturday or at the church one hour prior to services.
